๐Ÿงต Easy texturing/shading

Anonymous No. 893243

I have been 3d modeling stuff for a while now. Mostly just practicing the skill of modeling stuff, handpainting stuff as I see fit.

Nothing that I did ever looked good because I don't quite get texturing /shading. So I spent some time following this 43 part guide learning the nodes and stuff and I just feel overwhelmed. I don't even know how blender shading settings get exported into a game engine for starters.

I just want a simple node setup for stylized charcters in blender than isn't made out of 50 pieces. I understand normal map baking but I don't know how these shaders are baked on to a texture and if they are even baked?. Anyways I just finished the 38 th part.

What's the point of it then? To make renders ?

So blender shading can't be exported to unity? Only unreal and godot?

Just direct me in the right way and I ll be on my way. I am just a retarded ooga booga monkey who struggles to figure things on it's own,

From what i read none of the engines import blender shaders nodes natively.

don't really need to learn shaders unless you're into vfx

You make your model in Blender then get it into Unity and set up its look there.
Use the stupid questions thread next time.
