rendering/shading is the next step though, i don't know how to do classic cgi shading with the current version of blender. would have had an idea of what to do if blender's internal renderer were still around but that was removed way back in 2.8.

How long did 3DO magazine last? Did the system have any following in Japan? I know that people like Mikami discovered Alone in the Dark through the 3DO, which then led to Resident Evil. Without that port and console, RE may very well have been a forgettable game.
