I have a problem, I created this cutout with bezier curves and a boolean and it has a giant ngon (on the sport where the curve connects to the square edges.) i know this is problematic because i want to chamfer out the edges (highlighted in the picture) it creates a mess. is there a way i can prevent that without manually cleaning every face?

is clipping turned on for your mirror modifier? if it is maybe try doing the chamfer before mirroring it

i dont have mirror on it, the problem occurs because of the clipping verts on the sharp inwards protrusions

why don't you just model it properly instead of being a booleanlet

Use an inset modifier, which will pull all vertexes inward in a new face, and then delete the interior face, and the two faces on the outside straight edges, then planar align and move the two groups of vertexes manually, Should take like 40 seconds.

..look, noone gets shot when he adds some edges - edges should point into the direction where the bevel expands to(still some tweaking required(machine tools addon is worth its money))
