3ds Max chads, what is the naming convention here for these maps?

the _L , _I , and _X

What are those?

Use /sqtddtot/ motherfucker.

_B appears to be height map or displacement

_C appears to be albedo or pure color map

_D appears to be bump map

_I appears to be diffusion (Diffusion is albedo combined with diffuse lighting)

_L appears to be glossines (roughness on the other part uses white values for non reflective areas.)

_X appears to be rougness (glossines on the other part uses white values for reflective areas.)

A test,

_I as base color
_S as spec
_X as roughness
_B as diffuse

I found some text files explaining the maps right after seeing your above reply:

Rendering Size: 1024ร—1024 Pixel
Rendering Time: 16150 sec

Rendered Image: R085_I.bmp
Color Map: R085_C.bmp
Luminosity: R085_L.bmp
Diffuse Level: R085_D.bmp
Specular Level: R085_S.bmp
Refrectivity: 0 %
Transparency: 0 %
Bump Map: R085_B.bmp
Bump Map (sym): R085_X.bmp

You got any clues

Base and Diffuse are the same thing...

>>902506
B= Bump
D= Detail
C= Color
I = output Image diffuse
L = Lustre (roughness)
X = displacement (not many programs use bump and displacement like 3ds does).

Ah, was a typo. Used B as the bump for the test there.
Also, thanks for the clarification- Was still confused after the discussion above
