Make a black and white checker pattern texture and apply it, then start learning about how UV projections work and how texel density on the mesh works, and you are on your way.

BlenderArrayTexture.png

I didnt want to make a new thread for my questiona nd I couldnt find the blender general, but I'm a different noob and I have two questions about arrays:
1. How do I get singular pieces of arrays to apply their textures individually rather than strething the texture across all elements of the array?
2. Why does my array only form along the curve/nurbs path at the frontmost few vertices? I made it so the array fits the curve in number of instances and the poles should go all the way along the line selected here

Why are there objects that I already deleted or hidden in my render? Who the fuck put them there? I certainly didnt. How do I get them to stop showing up.
