Does anyone still use Hash Animation Master Today?
Does anyone even remember it?

I remember that book. I wonder what happened to that author, I always thought he was a decent modeler. I tried contacting him a while back but then got contacted by an ex who made various allegations of him being a deadbeat.

It was one of the first 3D Modeling/animation programs for regular people. It's main competition was Lightwave and maybe 3D Studio when there was only dos and no windows existed yet. One of the most famous examples was Alien Song, which got the guy a job at pixar.

this was my first 3d program and I still often lament to this day that features in maya are not like it.

I played around with in the early 2000s or so. It used only splines for modeling and the character were smoother than the low polygon ones back then.
But I really wonder how this can still be around when every one''s using Maya for Character animation for over 20 years now.

I know of a sperg that makes softcore furry macro porn with it. https://www.youtube.com/user/TheSup
Here's a preface so you don't think I'm a weirdo on the internet: I was watching some shit video essay about what happened to another old 3D software (Lightwave) about a year ago because it came up in my recommended page. The Youtuber talked about how Lightwave didn't get the features many other softwares had at the time and stayed stagnant, he mentioned that Lightwave's online community was 'toxic' to anyone who thought the software was too complicated or thought the software needed new updates and pushed away anyone genuinely seeking help with the software on the forums.
He mentioned the Lightwave community was almost as bad as the Hash Animation Master community that was in his words IIRC: "So infamously toxic that I won't talk about them". I naturally decided to look them up. The forums were honestly pretty tame (Guessing it was less moderated in the past or something) I didn't care to look further into old posts on the forum, instead I searched for animations on Youtube and was not disappointed, I found a wealth of furry, ICP, and emo animations ranging from the near present to the start of Youtube as a video platform.
I'll try to find the ICP and emo animations to go along with the furry animations I showed you at the top when I get time, But as of now they seem to have fallen off the easily visible search results.
