Who here has pirated solidworks? Is it relevant for the industry? does it have an use outside 3d printing? do the pirated versions have any particular bug/disadvantage? Was looking for jobs for 3d design on my area but I could only find some for 3d printing.

it's easily one of the worst 3D programs i've ever had to learn for school. Please use something else. It's so unintuitive. Learn fusion 360 or autocad. It's only useful for engineering works but autocad does just that but actually makes sense.

thanks, good thing about this is that autocad is easier to find. Bad thing is that I've always seen autocad as clunky, I bet it works as intended but somehow looks harder than other software for me. haven't checked fusion, will give it a go

no, it actually works for both 2d and 3d but is less optimized for 3d modeling/sculpting than Maya or 3ds max
