๐Ÿงต How do I apply details to this area WITHOUT assigning a new mat?

I wanna use a noise texture + Mix RGB to give a torn label look in the middle of this bottle.
However, there's no option in the shader editor for a vertex group node. So, I can only assign a new material to the bottle in slot 2 and work on that, however I do not wish to do that since it messes up the diffuse color.

Can you guys help me out with this? I want to assign the faces to a vertex group and then have that vertex group in the shader editor but I can't figure it out.

Nvm apparently there's no option for vertex groups in blender!
You need to paint the faces in the Vertex Paint option then use the Color attributes node!
