There is a U shaped curve of interest from CG casuals, they either want to see some braindead shit that they can do so they don't feel too bad or they need to see something mindblowing, something that's just good to great is not interesting to them because it's above their skill level but not so amazing it can break their jealousy and have them appreciate it anyway.
