I am really surprised this exists. How is it that I never noticed it before? I am looking at the Anatomy for Sculptors book, but that bone is not there, nor is it on any other images that I've seen.

A lot of artistic anatomy books don't have accurate anatomy at all, they only have anatomy that is the most prominent.

They also don't cover the bones of the inner ear, or most of the viscera.
Anatomy for Sculptors isn't Gray's Anatomy. It's exactly what it says on the tin. If there is anatomy that isn't artistically relevant, why include it? If you enjoy learning anatomy for its own sake, knock yourself out, but don't be surprised that a specific bone that isn't ever visible and is largely irrelevant for the shape of the human form is left out of artistic reference books.
