So I tried facebuilder for blender a couple years ago. Tried the trial again today it still remembers me. Are there any ways to reset it? Or alternatives? I just want to get an easy mesh of my face for metahuman without paying $150.

See if you can get a copy of 2.1.1 somewhere. That one was a free version. Sure, it has only the basic feature set and doesn't get updated but it gets the job done.
Also, don't update it.
Another thing of note: I have mine installed on blender v2.91. Not sure if it's mandatory to have it on an older version or if I did that to bypass the end of trial recognition. just mentioning it in case it might help.
