So, I made a head model for a character.
Is it just me, or are the eyes set in too deep?
Advice would be appreciated.

(1) use the WIP thread instead of making your own
(2) switch to zbrush. it's like 30$ a month (official/legal) or a 15$ one-time payment for a cgpeers invite (pirating).
(3) yes, the eyes are set in too deep. women tend to have lots of fatty tissue between the eyes and the eyebrows. pic related.

The eyes are not set in too deep, but the brow ridge comes out too far, making the eyes look sunken in comparison. The side view makes the brow ridge look normal, so making the outer ends go back more should fix the problem.

shame it's literally impossible to photograph a woman otherwise you could just pull in a reference and literally line it up

Just look at references of the actresses/stars/ethots you find hot, preferably from many angles to see where you’re going wrong.
