You could throw some subdivs on it, and maybe put some creases on it to preserve sharper shapes.

if its not smooth enough just add the subdivide surface modifier its way better than shade smooth

Start making black and white concept art to get a good silhouette first?

Also it look decent.... maybe add thickness from the Y axis because it look a little flat.

do you have a turnaround or a doodle of what you were exactly going for?
If it were me, with that big head I would scale up the "boots" and the hands and make the shoulders spherical and friendly looking, but idk what you're going for.
