As far as I know, you can't get a square brush really. You'll have to reduce your texture to fit entirely in the circular area and set the spacing appropriately so they come close to touching.

Either tweak it into working right, cope with the way it is, try to get it right with geometry nodes, use a different software, make a bug report hoping that some contributor takes enough pity to spend many hours working on your request, or get coding and put it into Blender yourself. I get being frustrated, but complaining is not going to fix your problem.
