Any of you fags use it or do stuff in it. I rarely see it been talked about, I had a problem and decided to make a thread.

Feel free to share any resources btw. I just started working with it and got the basics down (making patterns, sewing, arrangement points, internal lines, darts and all this shit).
But through my several tests, I realised I can NEVER make anything look good, it's fucking crazy.

Last example is pic related. I'm trying to make a Gakuran (the male student uniform from japan) and just look at how ugly it is. Any tips?

I would purposely learn Marvelous just so I can make sexy lingerie for my anime waifus

Lingerie is easy as fuck I'm learning it just so I don't have to make natural folds on my own.

with Daniel deleting all of his videos, where is good place to learn MD?

I found some of his old videos on bilibili so there might be someone out there with a folder full of his old videos but good luck finding that guy.
Never knew what you guys were so sad about when telling about Daniel's old videos but after seeing that blazer video he made, I totally get it. What a fucking fag (him or his employer) for deleting all this shit.

The fit is pretty good imo if not a bit tight for the front jacket.
Main thing is that there are no details, dont know if you work with a ref but there should be something on the cuffs. You should also express a fly on the pants. For these type of things I'd cut and sew an internal shape along an edge, click on the cut pattern and clone layer over or clone layer under to get some volume. Saw that on a tut but not sure if it's the right thing to do cause it literally doubles the geo of a pattern, maybe it's better to adjust the thickness instead. Same for the collar it should be thicker or have more going on

You know you can easily add buttons and buttonholes in MD? Even zippers

Also for details you should add topstitches to your sewing lines, look it up. Easy to do and has effect.

After that the second main thing is to find/make good materials that make your patterns pop. I hear you shouldnt bother to do it in md cause it's poor and may cause trouble on export. Personally that's where I'm stuck most of the time, if it's jeans then its alright cause denim pops, but the fabric of a gakuran is kinda hard to make look good if you're rendering from a distance because it's not very detailed by nature, and sometimes it will feel like it's just an empty material that occupies 90% of the outfit, unless you ham up the scale on the texture or the normals but then it's easy to go overboard

Hard to find ressources because the software is retardedly expensive and I guess it's mostly companies ie not mr everyone that use it
Now that I'm starting to get my way with it, I noticed that searching for clo3d tuts instead of md gives me better results when looking to learn more advanced tricks
