Is learning blender really necessary? I have 3dcoat and i like it, hard surface modelling doesnt really interest me as i like sculpting. But i also want to be able to render out some cool stuff.

What will i miss out on by not learning blender?

Just use rendering software, you don't need blender for that.

Blender. Takes a day to learn how to render. No point in all these software wars, unless your need a specific look in your caustics. If you want to listen to these retards' advice, just go on cgpersia and download whatever you want for free.

The only part good about Blender is that it's for free, you can install it on whatever system you please and it won't install any spyware shit along the main sw. The UI is atrocious, performance too. God why can't they just copy Autodesk controls dumb fucks
>muh patented UI
fuck them, just release a free addon to make Blender usable

learning blender for 3d is as necessary as learning ms paint is for 2d: not at all.
