How to achieve this style of rendering?
Environments aren't too focused on hyper realism and makes the stylized characters pop out more.
Why can the chinese make believable non-anime CG but the Japanese cant do that outside of their gaming industry?
Any good workflow videos or Behind the Scenes of these studios?

It's not a rendering style at all.

This is the answer. Just do that.
They're tinting everything the same color in post which is a good idea for everyone in every style.

For some reason these clips look disgusting and soulless as fuck but I just can't put my finger on why. It's probably the dull lighting and clashing art styles.

I can see how some of the Spirit Cage Incarnation clips can be "soulless" since it was the studios first show and most of the humans outside the main cast are boredering on the uncanny valley, but the scenes from the Three Body Problem Series look pretty good, especially the character animations.
