๐Ÿงต Does "3D" modeling/animation have a future?

Anonymous No. 932350

5 - 8 years from now what will the 3D industry look like? If an AI can create an image that looks like it was rendered in 3D software like Maya etc. Then what would be the need for a 3D artist exactly? Whatever roles remained would be greatly reduced in capacity surely. 1 person could create a movie that looks like it was made by Pixar. You wouldn't need any of the art people at all. You guys see this coming right?

...reality check, ... you are not an artist, in the current world, you are like the guy who worked in da vinci's workshop, executed the stuff he told you to do! ..you are the artist when people do what you want!

artisan != artist ... and, its not a shame to be an artisan, its noble profession, but you are not an artist!

the next sad truth, most of you guys will be fired! .... to be the da vinci in the equation is the only way to stay in buisness!

art was never supposed to be a business. you're supposed to do in life what you love and somehow get by, not let satanic laws such as money dictate where your time and attention goes. if you want to sculpt, sculpt. if you want to paint, paint. if you want to make tons of money, go fucking kill yourself, because you are useless.

who ever said OP solely created works for money? the second he also did other stuff for the sake of it, he is an artist. maybe he was just doing commissions on the side while putting his effort into a passion project?
