if you want the ramus that low you gotta make the chin the classic big pointy devil chin otherwise it looks like jowls. it looks like an old grandfather in tighty whities right now.

You did good OP. You've got the hard part out of the way, you just need need anatomy and aesthetics.
You can ignore the retards from other boards trying to make fun of you, they're like retard women at the gym. They'll always be here laughing instead of making.

a mesh is just a single 3d object, they are called tools in Zbrush, depending on what you are working on it is good to keep the the things that way, you can retopo and make polygroups too but it is more advanced, after I have all sculpted I save that just in case I want to add variations and I merge and clean everything, I could need to do retopology if i want to add more detail, to paint it or to do animations or just decimate it if I'm doing models to print.

for a first attempt, its solid, now you need to start focusing on proportion and depth
if you are looking for some good sculpting tuts, look up this guys courses https://www.artstation.com/nikoto/s
https://flippednormals.com/product/
nikolay naydenov (i think i spelled that write). his stuff is great, and cheaply priced, usually like $20 for a 4-10 hour tut, and they often go on sale too. i followed a few of his courses and he does a good job with both the technical software side of setting up a workflow and learning the tools, and also with the sculpting theory and anatomy and proportions, and he has a good range of tuts from beginner never touched a software before level all the way up to production level game characters and assets level. i found his stuff pretty helpful.
he also has a youtube channel where he does a lot of free demos, including an entire series on making a game ready character in blender

this also might help with that shoulder-torso-pec transition which can be tricky to figure out the spacing for. it helps to know how the muscles actually function and insert underneath or over top of each other

is posting a dev log of his first sculpt and his learning process at the mercy of an anonymous pixel fucking forum, and is posting regular progress updates and showing serious improvement. i am more than willing to indulge this thread of an actual 3D artist learning to do actual 3D art instead of the 100th butthole soft body deformation thread or "will AI put us all out of the job" thread

its coming along. before you get too far down the rabbit hole of details, you may want to take another pass at your overall proportions. those horns are still a bit small and the mounds around them are still a bit big and lumpy. the shoulders are probably a bit too far out, and the angle of the trapezius muscles are still a bit too horizontal. also looks like his side inbetween his lattisimus dorsi and his ribs is a bit caved in, might want to pull that crease out a touch.
great progress though, come a long way few weeks

The shoulder joints are too high and far away from his body. The lats are weirdly disconnected from his torso and are too prominent at the lower areas. Maybe try shortening the humerus bones a little as well. Outside of those issues it looks great.

>POST EVERYTHING IN X GENERAL11!!
General threads are a plague. They're fine for people that actually want to post in them but in no way should anons feel obligated or get forced to post in them.

Bros... How do we stop this from happening? We can't just let people use this website the way it was intended.

it looks like shit but looks way too good for a "1st sculpt", you are clearly leaving out an important detail like you've been drawing for a few years or something
