Dont use a 2d face, actually model the eyes and mouth out (yes it makes a big difference). The design is awful. Other than those, your technical skills are solid. Would hire.

The moment you tilt the head at any angle that isnt straight-ahead, it looks like pure shit. Unless you rig it with some nodes magic so that it always faces the camera, of course, but clearly thats not about modelling/sculpting. Just look up any popular anime model on sketchfab and view the wireframe with the model inspector. That is the standard.

engine isnt the problem here, just have less blurred reflection and it will make a big difference
but i cant really go into details of what you should do, especially since its your decision how you want it too look exactly (different types of metal and paint + light and stylization)

Agreed, apparently the author abandoned it at some point, also it wasn't that popular in japan for some reason. A real shame, In my humble opinion some of the characters were overdesigned, but Fremy's design was just perfect for me back then.

it doesnt look like you are aiming for very realistic or 2d anime look, at this point it doesnt matter how you do as long as it doesnt look bad in general
if you want some criticism id say neck is too long, insides of ear look weird and those 2 holes in nose look unnatural(rather something you would see in a toy)
