Texturing artists are now obsolete because control net segmentation can now be used to map Stable difussion using the UV map into properly perfect textures.
It's over as of today for texture artists.
It's now an obsolete skill.

This is fucking dogshit though.
Not to mention the AI has zero understanding of the 3d mesh, apart from basic segmentation, so any kind of baked AO, normals or anything that an actual texture involves is completely absent. You can't just poof that shit out of thin air with SD either since again, it has no awareness of the 3d mesh whatsoever.
This is just generating a few different images and filling them into the segmented areas. It's a different spin on the same shit you could do with SD already.
AI is neat and I use it with 3d from time to time, but this isn't anywhere near replacing texturing or making it obsolete.
Please just end yourself already, cris.
