Any hacks and tips for realistic animation? I've been mainly trying to animate weapon reloads but they either look floaty or too cartoon-like and not very realistic. All tutorials are artfag pixar stylized animation and not many are for actual realistic animation you see in video games that is mostly processed mocap and procedural. What I'm trying to focus on are mainly realistic finger movements and realistic timing which is hard as fuck. There must be a secret yet simple animation formula to follow right?

record yourself doing it.
and then use it as a reference.
is that too hard?
if it is, then give up and do something else.

there is still a lot of work after mocapping the animation, they almost never have the exact props and only pretend doing something - 80% of the work is still handkey animation
