I am saving all my Genesis 8.1 character's morphs into one file and had some questions:

I have heard that I should have mouth realism at 0% so i've done that, but I was wondering should I have my Head/Body/Iris HD details baked in with the morph?

I am leaving the nipple and the naval sliders set to 0 on the basis that most of the time they will have clothes on and these might interfere with clothing, and it's easier to add them than remove them, is this what everyone else does?

Is there much difference between the HD Details, I have quite a few from products, but it's hard to tell the difference, am I missing something or should I just add the Victoria 8.1 HD details.

DS itself is hardlocked to an ancient version of Trolltech's Qt framework because its scripting engine is Qt 4's WebKit which Qt abandoned in version 5 due to security problems, and the current Qt is 6 which has an incompatible scripting engine. They'll either have to jettison all scripting support or somehow build WK themselves for DS for the foreseeable future, and they don't have skilled enough code monkeys for it. On top of all of this the application requires an enterprise level database running in the background only because it has no licensing costs compared to lighter DBs like MariaDB, and having multiple figures in a scene slags performance regardless of your video hardware.
It's not a shitty program but it's in shitty hands, and both DS and Poser are watching Blender take their market.

This is the big one and always breaks the characters and they look shit outside of daz. UE or Unity does not support dual quaternion skinning. The bending will always look unnatural outside of daz because of it.

To get G3, G8 or G9 work in UE properly, you need bunch of scripts and even custom built UE. Even then, it is shit.

Just use reallusion. They have at least tried to make their shit work seamlessly with game engines.

Yeah it's DAZ. The outfit is Street Rider Suit. Morph looks to be something by guhzcoituz or one of fadeam's character morphs with more morphs added in. look for the Sarah Bryant morph. Skin seems to be MeradeDAZ Samus. Daz allows to easily mash up a lot of stuff. For the Hair if you look for creators who do video game ports you'll probably find it.

Looking at my stero renders is literally the most fun I had with Daz in ages. It's the same than with porn: 360ยฐ pictures with depth, and it makes you feel just like you're here. Physically present. Fucking whatever abomination you were never supposed to create.

Render at very high resolution, use Gigapixel to up the resolution even more, maybe denoise with the intel denoiser, use lens offset at -32 and 32. Don't forget that the camera must be very close, because in that scheme the camera is literally your eyes.

Many things load in perfect. principled setup makes more mistakes. For Maya there is not really any good auto-shader setup last time I checked which was quite a while ago. You have to roll your own and know how to do good shaders in your chosen render engine.

Some hairs have excellent nodes/bones.

But basically, on hairs: You can use normal transmap hair, which doesn't pose that well without a lot of bones (which some hair do).

You can use dforce strand hairs, which use 25 GB of VRAM.

Or you can use dforce non-strand hairs, which are banned on Daz store. Because Daz really wanted strand hairs because hype because NVidia.

Daz being absolutely moronic, stupid, retarded, cretinous, there are no good solutions for now. Wait a little while for Daz to remarket dforce non-strand hair as "Dforce Physic Based Geometric Gravitic Hair" or something pr worthy, and to unban them from their store, and the solution will be here.

dicktator has a seperate uv map and it blends dicktator textures (on the dicktator uv) with daz torso textures (on the daz uv) to create a seamless transition with the rest of the body while still maintaining high resolution dick

to bake:
select your model
go into edit mode
select the dicktator material slot and click select to select the vertices
press p to separate
delete all material slots except the dicktator one
open the uv editor window
select the dicktator uv in the uv list so you can see the unwrapped dick
open the shader editor
make a new image node
click new, set the dimensions and name it
attach a uv map with the dicktator uv to the image node
attach your desired output channel (i.e. diffuse) to a diffuse shader and connect that to the material output
open teh render settings, set to cycles
open the bake settings section
set bake type to diffuse, disable direct and indirect lighting contributions
select the dick object
select the image node in the shader editor
press bake
make sure to save the image from the uv editor (image > save)
repeat for whatever textures you want in substance

you can also try to aoe bake all the textures at once by using the standard principled shader into the material output and not using the diffuse only texture mode but i find it fucks things up

As an early adopter because I'm a sucker for freckle bitches, there's no point yet. The big selling point was higher res base materials but you can literally do that to any generation figure. if you're trying to add detail so you can bake the normals out just dupe the mesh, dynatopo to your heart's content then bake onto the original
or you could use a displacement map (if using cycles)
or you could use a multires modifier for higher sculpting subdivision levels but as far as i know you have to pose the mesh first and moving it afterwards will ruin the multires sculpt

It's so strange to see how the Zeitgeist has changed.

I don't really see the appeal of visual novels, but then I'm a 65 year old ancientfag with kids. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

If I was 25 again and looking for a fun project to flex my creative muscles, I would get a few solid individuals together and build a 'platform' using the Unreal Engine 5, a foundation which would allow all of you to build your own games using assets from Daz and Blender sharesites.
The only hump is building a rock solid base for a game using C++, and the thing about Cs, is that once you understand it the basic building blocks of the language, everything else just takes time, if you have two or more people bouncing ideas off each other, the learning curve diminishes logarithmically.
C is more like a 'language' in the traditional sense than any other programming language, this actually makes it easier for a bunch of determined yahoos on discord to quickly break it down than a math guy at college with a natural talent for patterns in mathematics.

If you want to make a fap game, make the best fap game possible, if you want to make the most offensive Poltard shooter, do that too. There is literally nothing stopping you but yourself anon. And I will tell you, that the only thing which tops the feeling of making your own living-breathing realised dream-game in this world is the feeling of having a kid.

Thanks for the advice but i realize what happen was the converter put my character as a separate node inside the main node and called it "genesis 8 female suit". It was smoothing the shorts from an invisible figure it was parented to. So if anyone is using this converter, when putting on clothes select "RSSY Genesis 8 Female Suit" for it to actually fit.

I'm going to format my PC what I have to do to backup my library? I have daz on C and my library on F. I just have to select my folder on F after the new daz install or I have to backup or do something else?

All my content is pirated and copy pasted on my library nothing of smart installers, DIM or something like that, I access my library through the tree folder map and that's all, I never bothered with metadata, using folders just works.

well as long as you do not format the drive with the content on it will be fine.
However check that there are no scripts or such installed on the C drive as DAZ like to put them there. Those will ofc break if you format C for a new install.

Anons, how can I find where her skin is from? I assumed that she's Genesis 8.1, and looked at every single Genesis 8.1 character on DAZ store, but I haven't been able to find it. The closest one seems to be Nisse by Mousso, but her skin looks much younger and their crotches do not match.

well thanks but not really. I make all my outfits to fit a single morph target of genesis 8. Its how I get the clothes to actually be form fitting while daz store outfits are made to fit genesis 8 base and then "loosely" fit any morph (they dont really in my view).
What I might do is package a model morph with a range of outfits for that one. So like a couple of dresses, outfits, lingerie and so on.
oh and lastly using dforce is essential for my outfits so that is again less user friendly than most daz store outfits.
So I would not say better in terms of that. But I do make them because I do not like many outfits from the daz store.

what process? how to making your own clothing? Well there are a million ways to do that.
For me I start looking for stuff I like on the web. Then I draw and sketch a little. Then I go to Marvelous designer and start putting it together. Then I export to maya and fix stuff and do certain 3d model things not possible in marvelous.
Then its 3dcoat and photoshop for diffuse. Last I like to use zbrush for normal maps and doing some folds by hand.
Then its import into daz. Fit the rigging and setup the surfaces as planned.
For a simple outfit like that robe I made its an evenings work. For something like a ball room layered dress it can take a couple.

I just use a dforce magnet to keep that part of the skirt in place and then in an animation posed the hand above it so that it would "grab" the cloth.
its a very simple and easy thing to do just look up the magnet.

How do you import a .obj with multiple "sub parts" from blender to daz? It works when I import from daz to blender; all the parts of my model get separated in many parts, but when I export from blender to daz my model lose all their multiparts and I only get a joined .obj

Selecting groups and all of that don't work. Which is the problem here, daz or blender?
