100% of my models are vastly improved by using img2img trained on dreambooth. Do I lack skill in design or is it simply not possible to be as good as SD with dreambooth and its billions of images as reference? I'm feeling like I could be replaced soon, like really soon.

Depends if you considered what you put into the AI complete
A lot of work is just chipping away at your sculpt little by little till things look right, You could do it forever if you wanted and the result will just get better with more hours put in
AI just find it's solution to what it considers 'good enough' a lot faster we do

The ai is a unique tool because it does work. Its the equivalent of an extra something hours of work. Of course it will always improve your model. So would spending another 10 hours on it.
