>Manage to gain great progress in learning animation in a short time.
>Absolutely zero creativity to utilize it. Can only do short shit like a cycle or a short action of a character. Any attempt at storytelling/shitposting falls flat
>Trying to take a break, go outside or work on something else does not help whatsoever
The price for talent was too high, bros...

some people aren't meant to be creative. Some people are meant to be great workers. It's okay to lack the creative talent vs the technical skill.

This is why we tell retards to learn to fucking draw

Cris would say how great he is and how he is going to be the prodigy using some AI tool to do all the work for him accompanied by a picture of his pixelshit game or a frog, retard

I don't want to expose myself here, but i'm open to ideas of animating something short just to post here as proof.

The thing is - i WAS creative, but it all went to shitter once i started making good progress. It's as if i actually traded it for technical skill

I do draw and it suffered from the same problem. Can't say i got good at drawing though, but i did get down the basics.

“Nobody tells this to people who are beginners, I wish someone told me. All of us who do creative work, we get into it because we have good taste. But there is this gap. For the first couple years you make stuff, it’s just not that good. It’s trying to be good, it has potential, but it’s not. But your taste, the thing that got you into the game, is still killer. And your taste is why your work disappoints you. A lot of people never get past this phase, they quit. Most people I know who do interesting, creative work went through years of this. We know our work doesn’t have this special thing that we want it to have. We all go through this. And if you are just starting out or you are still in this phase, you gotta know its normal and the most important thing you can do is do a lot of work. Put yourself on a deadline so that every week you will finish one story. It is only by going through a volume of work that you will close that gap, and your work will be as good as your ambitions. And I took longer to figure out how to do this than anyone I’ve ever met. It’s gonna take awhile. It’s normal to take awhile. You’ve just gotta fight your way through.”

>thinks learning the very basics is great progress
>can only make porn loops
>tried making longer porn but realized it actually requires thought and creativity to be worth anything
>avoids learning the very thing he fails at cause he thought itd be easy
>"b b bros its to hard"

just flip burgers. you will get paid more in two weeks than you ever will trying 3d porn loops

>His first idea is that i am doing porn
People did ask me to do porn a million times, but i keep refusing because i find it a slippery slope into even less creativity, because it's tasteless as fuck, and because it does not help you improve your skills as much as actual storytelling since storytelling requires bring able to properly portray tons of emotions, while porn just needs one - lust.
It's a similar reason to why i don't like retreading video ideas i already did even though i could capitalize on doing several versions of some meme that's hot right now.
>He thinks i do it for money
I get more than enough as a CNC machining engineer by cutting metal, anon. I just like animating shit.

And i thought i was the one with narrow mind here. You give me some hope, anon!
