๐Ÿงต I made 2D anime with blender.

Today I decided to spent the entire day cracking the workflow for anime girls that look like real 2D shit on blender 3.1 (because snap still doesnt have 3.5 yet).

I think It came pretty nice for like 6 hours of work in like a single try in the first day.

Seems my idea of combining grease pencil with 3D and toon shading to actually work just fine, if you kept no interpolation and make everything look 2D.

There's some details I could had worked more, like the freestyle here.
But Most of what I wanted wasn't a top tier render, but more like figuring out the workflow and more or less understand the steps needed to make anime with blender that actually look 2D.

This. It actually looks quite nice for once.
I think all you really need to do to help it look more 2D is by fixing the shadows, especially around the neck.

the thing is that the other crappy style, was meant very specifically to be just to make 2D sprites for rpg maker.

I actually love that style, but is understandable why is offputting for people when used beyond making 32x32 sprites.

It's actually a marvel of 3D engineering to design a workflow to make rpg maker characters with blender.
