it wouldn't hurt to flash a screen grab of solaris up for 2 seconds just to imply that you know it.
do you actually want to render your reel in there? that's your choice.

I have nothing to prove. I'm using the 25.1 prman demo scene provided by Pi*ar. It refuses to render to disk even with stock example scene, and often crashes. There are similar claims on the official sidefx forum regarding prman 25.1 plugin. I feel like I'm forced to go back to maya 2023, which is a lot more stable and better integrated.

This is what I'm getting in solaris in 30 seconds with the AI denoiser.

I "guess" I can make this work. What are the alternatives? I need a reel that looks modern asap. I've tried maya, but its too disorganized

Welcome to the world of half-assed hydra delegates. Personally, I would just use Karma CPU. Native and the hydra delegate is the ONLY version of the renderer.
