Blender newb here. I have a video that I want to map onto a sphere, but have it only take up a portion of the spheres surface rather than wrap around the whole thing. Anyine know how would I do this?

Does it need to be done in blender? Cause Unreal can handle video and placement for it better.

select the faces un edit mode. Unwrap. In the Uv editor you could select the edges of a polygon and align its edges align to โyโ and โxโ respectively select the squared polygon and hit f3 and search for follow active quads (this will set the rest of the uv island to a perfectly square projection). If you are lazy you could download Uv squares addon and that would do these operations on a single button. With your squared uv grid now just scale to fit the uv space. Additionally you could separate materials by adding another uv set to the rest of the polygons.
