Maya is better than rizomuv for uvs
Anonymous at Mon, 10 Jul 2023 06:26:05 UTC No. 950982
If you want a program that can do all of that then it's blender, zbrush and mudbox can barely do proper retopology, let alone UV and texturing, blender is pretty good for sculpting it can't handle billions of polygon like zbrush but it can handle more polygons than mudbox and 3dcoat for sure, but who need billions of polygons when you can just create details using procedural material

nomad sculpt for sculpting
3dcoat for the rest.
or blender for all.
or zbrush for all.

i actually like mudbox a lot but it's so fucking crusty i'm never sure if i'm doing something wrong it's just an unfixed bug from 2017 or something.

sculpting stitches using Zbrush is just suck ass not only u have 0 control it also pain in the ass to texture in substance, both blender and substance can make this detail procedurally, it is also non destructive, and don't forget skin detail like pores, Zbrush noise maker will make a huge seam across your mesh because it's half assed implementation, I will never make small detail using Zbrush again

this. literally every single defense of blender throughout the history of the universe has been the direct result of ineptitude, a psychological affliction, or both.

I'm software agnostic, I've used many 3d program before, and blender unironically fills all the role OP mentioned above, so don't get mad for pointing out your favorite software flaw ztards

i used ZBrush a while, its very good for sculpting if you want normal shaders and lighting
personally i want to experiment with shaders as part of my process, using Blender is just better for switching quickly back and forth between different modes.

it is so far ahead of the alternatives that it could be described as essential. new features don't matter, though - you can do wonders with just a few standard brushes.
