๐Ÿงต CAD Designer here... Boss wants me to 3D print this...

Anonymous No. 955148

This is all I have to go off of, It's an AI generated butterfly lamp / chandelier. Right now I am working on simplifying it and making all the struts make sense so I can start sketching it in CAD.

My initial thought was to make a butterfly out of simple shapes and then try out the generative design features in Fusion 360 to see if I can get a similar result.... or is there a better way of going about this? Would love to hear your ideas. Thx

Like most AI-slop, it's an M. C. Escher nightmare of impossible geometry. Good fucking luck.

Fuck cad, overlay a plane and trace out the design (exclude bullshit ai geo) with knife tool. Remove all faces, match frontal curve with proportional edit, skin modifier, mirror mod with clip, subdiv. Merge gold top and bottom lines as necessary and light the scene following the ai crap.

Would have already done that model twice. Just do it it's not that hard.
