How do I get my light reflections to not be so jagged?

Welcome to the wonderful world of caustics where render times come to die.
Just don't. instead use a textured projection light with a fake caustics map.
also use /sqtddtot/.

If you want a better example of a limnal pool, go watch Dark City (director's cut only).

1. bigger light sources equals softer shadows and reflections
2. more samples equals better defined reflections
3. the normal map on your water is way too strong and jagged. an actual still pool is basically perfectly flat, maybe some subtle undulations
