3d in particular has a lot of extreme eye cancer porn and making the board nsfw would open the shit floodgates. At least with drawing there's a decently high skill barrier that prevents the truly ill from posting, while 3d has a lot of shortcuts you can take to produce ridiculous fetish crap with little effort.
