And I don't mean any cheap attempts or variations. I mean a near one-for-one remake. Down to the subtle smoke effects.
Already looked through a ton of tutorials online. None of them get it just right.

Yeah that's what I thought, looked super real to me, reminded me of that opening scene with the scanner going into Ripley's pod in 'Aliens'.

I don't use blender but I think you may be able to achieve the look with the aid of spotlights with incredibly tight (and not so tight) cones & gobo's
