It is OVER for us

Anonymous No. 968557

well, as they warned us, you will own nothing and you will be happy

maybe i could be happy if they actually released good new features for ZB

that's the beauty of it, they won't. they'll hold it hostage and make you rent it until someone makes a better program, which they will also buy and rent out to goyim.

I already own the perpetual of the latest Pixologic version, but it doesnt have the features that i crave. I dont sub to maxon zb, because I cant afford it with my other subs, but I want to

Anonymous No. 968561

Piratebay never removes perpetual licenses though

What good new features to Zbrush has Maxon brought to the table?

Anonymous No. 968583

Ability to have your sculpt to be automatically uploaded to Maxxon servers in background so they could train a neural network on them.

"Software as a service" is just too delicious for companies. It's like the best thing since sliced bread for them
>customers tied to them
>customers less likely to switch on a whim
>customers easier to control
>customers easier to monitor (have to be logged in or software won't work)
>steady inflow of monies

This model basically only has upsides to companies and the cattle doesn't mind anyway and just pays up

No, everybody hates maxon including the industry

Anonymous No. 969624

What I can't figure out is what happened at Pixologic that made them sell to Maxon in the first place. I mean ZB was their flagship product and so many industries make use of it, so it' can't be that they lacked a shit ton of funding.

Paul Babb Steps Away From Maxon

If you've attended any Maxon event in the past two decades, the name Paul Babb likely rings familiar. As the Head of Global Marketing, Paul played a pivotal role in propelling Cinema 4D into the limelight, especially with the introduction of the Mograph Module. He consistently prioritized artists, working to elevate their presence in an industry where exploitation often prevails. Paul's departure leaves a void, and his commitment to championing artists will be sorely missed. Wishing you happy trails, Babbster!

Serious question. In the US, if you absolutely need industry standard subscription based software for your job and you pay for it, couldn't you get tax breaks for it if you declare it as a business expense?
