Can Krita replace Photoshop?
Can Godot replace Unity?

So it's in the range of "that depends" to "no".

public transportation can absolutely replace your car the issue is that north america has garbage car-centric infrastructure that forces you into having to buy one to do anything unlike in europe

Then the answer is neither. To do that read at least last years siggraph papers and implement them in C++ and Vulkan from scratch.

Cutting edge for me means meeting the wuality standards of the best animated cg in the world (avatar 2) that has tech that has implementations behind lock and key and requires expensive hardware, not some useless shitgraph papers on uving with neural nets

Lol I live in Europe (England) and public transportation is awful to ride on with the absolute dipshits I occasionally have to board with. I ended up buying a shitty little Yamaha motorbike and a shitty Fiat car because of it. America's issue is that they don't have other alternatives to cars and public transport (bus), that being a dedicated bike highway and sidewalks since everything is a fucking sprawl.
