Really want to use this beautiful model as a reference but I'd like to have it on my machine first, and the author didn't allow it to be downloaded sadly. Anybody willing to rip it for me with Nsight or ninjaripper? After hours fucking around with Nsight I feel no closer to knowing what I'm doing when it comes to ripping browser models/textures.

I asked for permission to have this model from the author and was denied. Anybody willing to go against their wishes and rip it for me because I'm too lazy/stupid to myself?

This, you will never learn if you don't practice, also if you made these 2 you might make even more similar models

You're assuming that OP isn't Cris. On this board, that's a big mistake.

The more i look at it the more i see how fake it looks. Clearly the artist isn’t a modeler and everything was put together like some kind of lego.

the artist is definitely a modeler
you can just click the link
I wish I could fake it as well as he does

No, modeling means creating from scratch. Putting together stuff is creative art. Big difference, this is why you call people walking on runways models because they represent something new from nothing.

what the fuck are you even saying? This is some fucking word salad bullshit here.

It’s the same reason why our 3D art aren’t called drawings. We didn’t draw, we didn’t sculpt (not use Zbrush, mudbox, clay, etc), we don’t craft or become creative in shaping art.

We modeled our work into something. It’s just that simple.

The knees are interesting. Because by placing balls there, it saves the hassle of having to deal with weight painting and support loops. The knee will always look perfectly rounded no matter how far the leg is bent.
Since the shading is so flat, you can't even tell it's constructed that way. I do have to wonder how it would look with an actual light source determining where shadows fall.

Yeah, I think this whole approach is heavily based on complete absence of any kind of shading.
