Oh, sorry I went to be right after posting that image, maybe I should make a pastebin or something for that question.
-In a nutshell-
Character creation: I used to just put my own name when playing games and stuff, when I was playing a MMO with /v/ I screwed up on the character creation and my guildmates told me that I should start over with another account instead because the first character done was the most important, when I created a new account I decided to make a female character that time, the name "Mariel" comes from a friend of my mothers family, here in Mexico the name Mariel just like that is rare, specially since many Mariels are a mix of "Maria" and "Elena".
I like long blonde hair and red eyes so they went straight into the character, and the "x" on the name is a classic MMO joke about putting an x on the end of the name because the one you wanted was already taken. She ended becoming my internet avatar.
Character lore: Shes a young adenturer who joined a random guild with some cool, strong people, these cool people trained her along with other newbies but she started getting stronger on a faster pace so she was taken into more dangerous missions which made her to grow stronger even faster, the maid outfit she wears was a birthday gift from the tutors because she saw a shop selling both short and long versions of the maid outfits and she pointed out that the long one was much better than that she liked it a lot, strong drama happened on the guild among the tutors and when she tried to do something to stop it she was powerless, after the guild disband everyone went their own way and Mariel started wandering alone fighting and getting stronger by herself.
The maid outfit is somewhat a memento of the people who helped her become a warrior as well as a reminder that she needs to get stronger to be able to face a similar situation that made her guild to disappear, thats why she wears it most of the time.

Uhhh i dont put much in numbers, like if i were to set up right now, she wouldve probably started training very young in common battle/adventurer schools/institutes that teach the basics of combat, then they go out to the world to fight monsters and crap when she wasnt a kid anymore, so lets say that she started going out to adventure around 15 years old, she met her guild then and she started wandering alone at 17 years old.
She usually is between 17 to 20 years old, once again depending on the setting.

I've been seeing Mariel around 4chan since the mid 2000s, can't believe they're still around. When I think of how much time they could've spent learning to draw and how they could be a professional with their own Mariel comic or even internet animation show after almost 2 decades of begging, it's frankly impressive. You know, Mariel, I like your chick, I realy do, despite having a kind of generic design, it works to make a good character, but the way you handle her is often jarring.
You try so hard to portray her as a cool and badass character while disregarding cuteness and sexiness and in theory and that could work very well... problem is that in practice you draw her as someone cute and sexy looking, which clashes awfully with the character she is supposed to be in theory, worse is when you try and make her look badass it ends up looking forced and edgy it just doesnt work.
I am very forgiving towards Mariel as a character because I have a massive bias for blondies, but if you were more honest about her being actually cute and stuck to this on her design... OR you made her an actually badass looking character, she would be more bearable on that aspect.

It has nothing to do with your art style and everything you do with how you portray her. Battle maids are a thing in quite a few animes but they are either deceptively cute (Re:Zero) or very clearly shown to not be cute (most of the maids in Overlord). A character can be simple without being boring. Generic isn't bad as long as it has some depth to it and isn't just copy/past. Do better.

I know you're not accepting criticisms but here's a few anyway. If you don't want her to be cute, stop drawing her as a young girl with massive honkers. Give her some age. Add more sharp edges to her design instead of all these round shapes. Stop giving her big eyes with big pupils. These are just basic ideas that keep the character somewhere in the realm of "mundane" that you're going for. Throwing blood and huge sword on her are not enough to portray "badass" even the op image for example doesn't portray hardened badass character, it portrays a young, weak girl, desperately trying to defend herself and failing.

Then I suggest you to look for other characters for inspiration, there are plenty of femenine badass characters out there for you to take inspo from, picrel is one of many examples. That way you can also see how they handle their "cuteness" in a way that is accurate for their character setup.

I believe that is because you cant pull off quite well this cool or striking moods on her design people either dont notice it or get mixed signals, contrary to your cute stuff which you ironically pull out decently well. I think making the eyes sharper and smaller is heping to make her look less cute, also trying to make the clothes to not hug her body but cloth physics is hard to understand.

You might hate this suggestion Marielx, but I have an Idea on Rebooting Mariel's Origin Story to make it more different and let it stand apart from other battle maids, as well as let her be both cute yet terrifying
What if after working a long day at the Taco Maid Cafe, Mariel finds herself encountering an alien? She goes near it to pick it up or poke it with a stick, only to infest and possess her?
Maybe this alien is an intelligent species capable of feeling empathy, but is forced to possess her in order to survive. Maybe this alien Mariel actually feels remorse in doing so, and tries to protect that which she once held dear.
This eldritch abomination initially tries to blend in and make Alouette think she's fine, but ultimately we know that this outsider has a plan to allow others of her own species "keep the human populace safe".
Over time however, after taking care of Alouette she only feels her remorse grow, as she realizes what she really is about to do. She has no one else to turn to for guidance, as she hopes her own family (up there) aren't eviscerated or torn to shreds themselves by the incoming Grand Harvester armada.
She acts cutesy in order to both lull would be enemies before tearing them to shreds in the dark , or to just blend in everyday life.
This explains why she would be so strong and use an alien purple sword.
