the combat is only a concept so far and barely functional.
But it's essentially like Earthbound but you talk to creatures and people instead of fighting them physically.

I've never played Yumi Nikki, but I know it's about reoccurring nightmares. For some of the earlier stages, you can have common household items and simple monsters as the enemies. Later on, the enemies could become more abstract and scary as the nightmares get worse.

Things like horrors always require a lot of creative energy in order to actually be scary.

I could also use some inspiration. Just started working on a comic about far future with dead sun, no remains humanity and sentient beings defying the logic and life as we know it. I could deffinetly use a lot of horror concepts lmao

I can't and don't really want to influence your work directly but if you want some inspiration I can tell you about my universe.

You are in the first circle of hell, limbo, for you did not believe in christ. This is not a punishment or any type of purgatory thanks to christ chaining the first circle of hell to earth allowing life and happiness and free from the fire. no one may risk nearing any of the lower levels. Despite the hatred of the lower circles inviting us in to join, we depend on them for warmth and light. Life in limbo is hard but we make do.
