Are you autistic? Serious question

I haven't been diagnosed with it.
But considering how loosely the term is applied here, I guess we all are autistic to some degree.

the best advice i can give is don't put yourself into a template. experiment with eye shapes, squash and stretch, wrinkles, etc. copy the expression you're trying to draw with your own face and get that feeling down onto paper
don't worry about accuracy, worry about soul

another thing to note is that expressions and their respective emotions can be felt in varying degrees of intensity, and it'll look different depending on that, too. there's countless different expressions you could make out there, you just have to do what *feels* right

why is her forehanded 1/2 of the face? I thought foreheads were supposed to be only 1/3.

You can play with proportions. Like Villpu says, there are no rules just tools.

If you are going for realism then the rule of thirds is a must since vertical proportions don’t vary much on average

I exaggerated a bit but you can draw faces with any shape and proportions.

Just draw a middle line and put three marks wherever you want for the eyeline, nose and mouth

Interesting I'm always afraid of making my drawings feel uncanny due to wrong proportions.
