Welp YT just pulled a Tumblr and is going to die probably and become nothing but a kiddieshit site. To celebrate lets have a NewGrounds thread, full of characters originally from NG.

world's going in recession
they're cutting their losses with arbitrary regulations so they can avoid paying a good chunk of youtubers
they know there's no serious competitor to youtube
they'll get rid of the regulations once the recession is over and be hailed as heroes
its a win win for them

Well in the current year it does them no favors, no matter if it may help them in the long run its going to drive people away. And it's no doubt we have a thousand people already a year into developing an alternative site.
The edgy content market is large, once GTA5 video creators move somewhere they take their audiences with them who probably wouldn't care what site they were on. Then its a snowball, the commentary community, history channels, and other people producing unsavory content would move and establish themselves else were without a second thought as long as a monetary deal can be struck. Once their audiences move that causes other creators to either see an opportunity to cash in early, or get worried and move regardless of what they make, it doesn't matter, they will move eventually. The only people I wouldn't see moving are those who are naturally sanitized , people like YT animators and kids gaming channels, those who hit trending most frequently. But they may move at a much later date to places like NG or our hypothetical competitor, but only once the audiences have truly left YT.

hope it goes how you say it will
but what happened to youtube is a cycle
it'll happen to whichever platform comes forth next so on and so forth
there will always be some techgiant kike with unlimited money to buy out the big new thing and maintain their global hegemony
man i hate Alphabet.Inc and the other silicon valley giants

Firstly they tightened the grip. Talking about stuff like crimes or grotesque scenes or illegal things will get you age gated immediately regardless of context. Violent video games are now banned effectively, anything with guns or blood or swearing, which on that note swearing is now completely banned. Your older content isn't safe, people are already having their entire channels age gated and YT is probably going to start hiding videos they can't monetize.

Ya it kinda sucks, a large chunk of the diaspora took up residence on NG though it wasn't the hyper retarded individuals who went to Reddit and Twitter they still wear their politics on their sleeves and show no respect to edgier forms of content or older NG content unless it has some colorful character they can draw in some generic Tumblr style. But It's not as bad as it could be, just tell them to fuck off and they'll melt down with fair consistency.

looks like the whole web actually is going to explode with that Gonzalez v. Google case, I don't think any website with an algorithm is going to survive this, not Newgrounds, not Youtube, not any communication sites like Reddit or Twitter
