Thanks! His name is Fry
He lives alone in an abandoned mall on the outskirts of a cyberpunk metropolis. He is quiet and methodical.
He goes on missions to steal info, weapons, and resources from underground bases of federal agencies which oppress the people of the city.
He takes a stealthy approach, hiding in the shadows and setting up traps and occasionally using scare tactics.
He doesn't use guns or loud weapons, and is not particularly good in a fight, but when push comes to shove, he pulls out the brass knuckles.

I get whatcha mean by the need of easy digestion (of character, story). Howbeit, i can also defend more elaboration, especially for those that have already gone through the major titles/medias. But you're not wrong, to remember better, I always fall on Scooby Doo, just an incredibly smooth and easy fit for the reader.

idk how to get attention on OC with a pre-established fanart following but the best way to get attention from followers is to get followers who came for OC. just draw OCs and the faithful will stay. people who followed for fanart likely dont really care about OC
