>November also marked the sixth month in a row of record-warm months for 2023. For the eighth consecutive month, the global ocean-surface temperature also set a record high.

That's why I don't really expect to live into my 40s.
Given that we're currently at "only" 1.2-1.3C average temperature increase and are already facing these problems, I doubt we stand a chance long term.

I didn't think we had any climate cultists left after the models got debunked
What discord did you fags slink in from?

At this point it's pretty clear to me that the only "fix" will be geoengineering. Given that people are still afraid of using it because of things like "moral hazard", it seems things will have to get a lot worse before they get better. I'm waiting for a wet-bulb event in the Southern US or Jakarta flooding or a mega typhoon smashing into China.

Hmm I think there’s only one solution. Bring 4 billion Africans out of the Stone Age and give them electricity and smartphones and open the borders to Europe. That should fix climate change.

>before they get better
They won't. Most of the mainstream geoengineering options (SAI and MCB) don't last long.
We'll either have to adapt (impossible under current system) or perish. And given that we're heading for 4.8C of warming by 2100 if Hansen is correct, we'll likely go extinct as a species.

If people really were serious about stopping climate change, we would be having discussions about how to kill as many people as quickly as possible.

No moral hazard, it is Shirkey's Principle in full flow.

Good idea. We might need to discuss ways of lowering birthrates to below replacement levels as well. We should all send letters to our congressmen so this issue can be raised in parliament as soon as possible. It could take a long time to implement the necessary poisons and the average person needs to have their say as well. I think we could achieve this by 2050 with everybody on board and doing their part.

Soon, if not already, we will have crossed the threshold after which there will no longer be months that aren't record high temperatures.
