So? Electric vehicles are just a transitory step between gas guzzlers and clean mandatory public transport.

I am almost sure there's an insane propaganda campaign started by big oil on basically all media to push hydrogen even tho it's more polluting than EVs. (yeah hydrogen cars also have EV batteries even if smaller same shit overall).

The answer is that all cars are polluting pieces of shit.
The only thing that needs to happen is every car manufacturer goes bankrupt, and every country in the world reworks their infrastructure entirely. This isnt controversial. I think it's time we acknowledge cars for what they really are: a failed experiment humans cooked up only 100 years ago. In fact "personal transportation" by and large has failed.

Electric might be dirtier in terms of particulate matter from brakes/tires, but combustion is clearly dirtier in term combustion outputs (CO2, CO, NO2, benzene, etc.).
>bu bu but muh catalytic converter
Not perfect, it will remove a 90% of the pollution sure, but by and large cars are still shit for air quality. Not to mention CO2s impact on the climate.

public transport has been around for quite a while. must be some human related reasons why people would rather drive their own shit. provided there is an infrastructure. car pollution is a very small part that is getting the hate for all pollution, it's disproportionately misrepresented and it happens to be a sort of pleb luxury.
ask for less polluting cars and better car infrastructure you morons, they want to take cars away from you. which also means a retarded high level of extra control over pleb freedom to go wherever the fuck they want, whenever the fuck they want. plus plebs can use those cars to block shit up. idiots in Copenhagen would just get run the fuck over with their retarded bicycles. they trained them like fucking monkeys

>>16061359
>car pollution is a very small part that is getting the hate for all pollution
What are you talking about? It was found that kids who live around vehicle pollution have lower IQs, and in general cars are responsible for higher rates of lung cancer in urban areas. Not to mention the noise/light pollution.
It's a failed experiment in the same way asbestos if a failure. You can make "muh freedom" arguments all you want, still doesnt change the fact that nobody deserves to live/be around pollution.
Anonymous at Thu, 7 Mar 2024 14:32:44 UTC No. 16061373
>>16061359
>ask for less polluting cars and better car infrastructure you morons
Also the fundamental assumption is that "less polluting vehicles" are even possible, when they arent. Even cutting edge brand new EVs produce a fuck ton of particulate matter, it's a false progress argument. The only solution is to stop cars altogether.

you are conflating personal vehicles with burning fossil fuel. I am not advocating for fossil fuels, I'd rather have picrel and proper road infrastructure. if you're doing a few miles daily you might even get away with solar charging only. has panels on body.
>>16061373
not really. once cars stop running on fossil fuels then you stop seething about it and move your attention to the real polluters, because that's what you're really after isn't it?

Nuclear powered flying cars is the solution for private transportation (NP trains and ships for cargo). The more these fucking monkeys "intervene" with the markets and "care" about the "environment" (instead of humankind mind you) the longer will have to wait for this.
