Yes, absolutely, but the pay caps out at around ~$2000-2500 a month, while rent for a 1br anywhere near a university is $1k minimum, a meal at a restaurant is $30, a week's groceries $100+, health insurance is $300 a month (not included in pay for adjuncts) with a $8000 deductible, and you'll be paying ~15% of your wage in taxes even at that income level
