Reminder, lobotomies only decreased IQ points by 6 on average which is nothing for anyone moderately intelligent, slightly more dull to average intelligence and extremely noticeable in the really stupid. The impact to the last group is why it was lobied to be banned . Most patients with OCD and schizophrenia benefited considerably from it from the literature, with most returning to a gainful life requiring no further interventions and even employment.
