in a nutshell, 1 flip land on tails and then the rest is just rows and rows of heads (flipping it onto the floor, chest level, coin went above my head)
it only stopped the streak once i either landed it on my hand or i just said "land it on tails if god is real"

a common homework assignment is to tell students to flip a coin like 100 times and record the results
you can tell who didn't bother to actually do it because they would write
>HTHTHTHTHTHTHTHT...
in reality, you are likely to have runs of a couple heads/tails at some point given many trials
our bias and intuition gets in the way sometimes

In point of fact, not only can coins land on their edges, but they're also more likely to land on the side initially facing up when flipped.
When someone says a coin flip is 50/50, they're treating it like a spherical cow in a vacuum.

Wow, an amazing example of how our material universe allows for huge coincidences
