Heart cells don't regenerate, they form scar tissue, so no. Depending on the amount of damage, you will live with that, and its effects on normal heart function, for the rest of your life.
When lying pundits say "Myocarditis is temporary," like it's supposed to be no big deal, they're right in that the inflammation of the heart itself is temporary, but the damage caused by that inflammation is irreversible.

No, there is no way to prevent heart tissue from scarring once damaged, which is why heart transplants become the only viable option in people with sufficiently damaged hearts. The only thing you can do to prevent tissue from scarring, and in this case we're referring to inflammation caused by Myocarditis, is to rest the heart until the inflammation goes away, which means little to no physical exertion.
Other organs, like the liver, can endure even extreme inflammatory damage (Hepatitus) and recover fully, because liver cells have an extraordinary ability to regenerate.
