Why do suicide pods need to exist? Can't you just attach a gas mask to some nitrogen (the exact method the pod would use) and save a lot of time, money, hassle, and resources?

if you're too weak to pull off the mask, it would probably feel like you're being trapped and murdered, not going out on your own terms

you can always try drowning wrapped in chains. You cant survive underwater for an hour. Dig a deep pool and jump in it, the panic only lasts for a minute.
