You have heard about mechanical calculators, electro-mechanical calculators, and electronic calculators. What about chemical calculators and electro-chemical calculators, how would they look like?

Water calculators are an example of a chemical calculator. The brain is an example of an electro-chemical calculator. But the issue with the brain is that it's 90%+ useless 'fat' for our purposes of calculating arithmetic and other such minimal computation tasks. I want to hear what the hypothetical basic electro-chemical calculator looks like, rather than the Deluxe Supreme version.
