As you can see from the graph developed countries haven't used the abundance of food to bring much more children into existence but have rather educated themselves, developed and advanced sciences, machinery, electronics etc.
The artificially inflated populations are now (again) swamped with people to the brink of spilling over to "privileged" people).
A pseudo-intellectual humanities would argue about it being these older civilizations responsibility to build self-limiting culture for the younger civilization on the northern hemisphere to learn from. But that's not the case and it's a shame as them migrating doesn't level out their fertility numbers either.
